Meaning: Haja Mariama Navo Fo . undation Sierra Leone is a non profitable organization which aims at giving opportunities to children and women to have a reason to live thereby ensuring a sustainable development for the less privileged. This local Non- Governmental Organization was born out of a strong Passion and will of a woman by the same name whose life has been dedicated to helping women and girls in particular secure a well meaning future.
MOTTO:The Motto “Womanhood is Continuity”.
LOGO:The Logo is a Woman taking her daughter to school. The woman is a symbolic representation of all suffering women in the word (Widows and those abandoned by callous men) and the Child going to school is a symbolic representation of the future and the empowerment of women not only in Sierra Leone but in the world all over. The Woman, Girl child needs academic, vocational, economic assistance in business and Agriculture, understandings to be totally empowered; a dove at the top of them in a label diagram indicating motherhood, promise of hope, salvation, charitable support and a peaceful atmosphere to be portion to women and orphan children.

MISSION AND VISION STATEMENT
5.12 (a): MISSION STATEMENT:
The Haja Mariama Navo Foundation in Sierra Leone(HaMNaF-SL) is an institution of advocacy for Women and Children (especially the vulnerable and marginalized Women and Children), who are morally, financially and psychologically disturbed, stress and over traumatized in communities, promote the rights and interest of women and children, providing aid for the unenviable majority of women and children that are suffering in socio-economic deprivation that have hampered their dignity to stand with status before God and man.

HaMNaF-SLEnvisaged that Women and Children in communities especially the vulnerable and marginalized achieved their desirable rights through advocacy, lobby, human rights promotion, gender equality, right to education, food security, empowering women to acquire skills and humanitarian aid given to them.
(OBJECTIVES)
6:13 (a) GENERAL OBJECTIVES
Providing Psycho-social counselling and support to women and Orphans
Providing educational support (Scholarship) to children and vulnerable girls in communities
Providing vocational skill training support to girls andvulnerable women
Protection and promotion of rights of Children and Women
Organizing agricultural activities and income generating programs for Women and Children.
INTENDED PROJECTS TO BE UNDERTAKEN
• Women and Girl child protection and welfare.
•Protection of women and the Girl child who do not want to be initiated in the “ Bondo Society” (Female Genital Mutilation).
•Agriculture, Farming and gardening to create employment to vulnerable women who can go vocational, academic education and also for those vocational and academically trained who need farming or gardening as a vocational empowerment.
•Vocational institutions for the development of vocational skills.
•Nursing and Girl child education and adult education for vulnerable and marginalized women.
•Micro-credit finance without interest to women with business talents.
NUMBER OF YEARS IN OPERATION:This organization have been functioning informally through humanitarian actionable concerned in Sierra Leone, home and abroad. Now that the number of vulnerable women is constantly on the increase, and the number of orphans is increasing at a galloping pace, the need for free humanitarian action that depends purely on the goodwill of people is now redundant as economic reality have grown moral obligation. Thus the need to transform it is registered have government obligation that will cater for vulnerable women and orphans that will collaborate with other humanitarian partners through advocacy. The organization informally is now ten (10) years old.

4.10: SOURCE OF FUNDING:Since the end of the war, and when vulnerable women and orphans began gathering in Dambala, concern was raised. Destitute sleeping on open places, children not going to school but spending all their time roaming about the town and in the busses galvanized humanitarian action to come to their aid. Funding for their welfare have been through humanitarian action by private individual donors, home and abroad.
The organization shall further source for funding through the following;
Government and Non-Governmental Organization,
Writing proposals
Resource Mobilization through stakeholders engagement, Monthly contributions etc.
